Getting a Business Visa in Indonesia - Efficient Visa

Things you need to be aware of before applying for an Indonesia Business Visa.

Indonesia is open to any new business opportunities. Good news is, as a foreigner you are benefited by this situation. You must be a genuine visitor traveling to Indonesia for business visitor activities such as, studying the market, negotiating contracts, and taking part in a conference or trade fair. Under the regulation, you need to apply for a business visa. Although, please take note that while you are on a business visa, you are not allowed to be employed by any Indonesian companies.

Multiple entry business visa 2019

This visa allows you to stay in the country for sixty days for each arrival as well as enables you to a multiple entry. You do not need to visit the Immigration Office for an extension.

You will have to meet certain conditions to be eligible for this visa. You must be sponsored by a legally and operating business in Indonesia. Both foreign and locally owned companies are welcome to sponsor you. Again, this visa forbids any employments – you are not allowed to get in Indonesia. What we need :

  • A passport copy.
  • A bank statement with a minimum of $USD 1,500 (must be a foreign account).
  • Copies of all your company sponsorship (if you have one).
  • Return tickets.
  • A Telex.

It takes about five to ten working days for the Immigration to process an invitation and to issue a Telex. It can be shorter if your company sponsor has sponsored visas before. Once you have the Telex, you need to upgrade it into an Indonesian visa at an Indonesian Embassy abroad. If you are already in Indonesia, you must leave the country, normally Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are the favourite. The embassy in Singapore normally takes three working days to process your visa. Any small mistakes will cause in your application getting delayed. Thus, please check with the embassy beforehand, and start the application process at least two weeks before your expected date of arrival.

Certain Nationalities are prohibited from applying a business visa.
